First Ever Talented Tenth Conference

The brainchild of Mayor Steve Benjamin, this conference will be the first of its kind here in Columbia and an exciting opportunity to engage a large number of young, African-American professionals from not only here in Columbia or in South Carolina, but from our surrounding large cities like Atlanta and Charlotte.

The conference will serve as a networking tool that will hopefully reach out to many young professionals that are on various levels of their professional career. Most often we are not given the opportunity to network among ourselves and meet other young and dynamic, African-American professionals. Even fewer and farther between are the opportunities that young, African-American professionals are given to attend a reception that holds over forty CEOs from around an area that they currently live in. But, that is exactly what this conference will do.
