What: EngenuitySC Ignite! Columbia's Knowledge Economy Leadership Conference: Inside the Mind of an Entrepreneur
The goal for EngenuitySC Ignite! 2010 is to celebrate entrepreneurs of every age and to showcase the pathway an entrepreneur travels to build innovative, sustainable enterprises. Speakers for this year's event will range from youth entrepreneurs, to homegrown rock star companies, to innovative "social entrepreneurs" changing the face of Columbia. Ignite! will feature eight 6.5 minute, high-impact presentations to celebrate how entrepreneurship and innovation are changing the landscape of our region.

When: November 17, 2010, 5:30 - 8:00 p.m.

Where: SCRA Innovation Center (1000 Catawba St.; Columbia, SC)

Admission: $25; special seating for COR members
Admission includes hors d'oeuvres and open bar

Know an overachiever under 40? Nominate a Midlands business star making his or her mark with professional success and community involvement. The nominee must primarily conduct business in the 10 counties of the Midlands* and be under 40 years of age as of January 1, 2009. Deadline for nominations is Friday, October 10, 2008; winners will be published in the January 5, 2009 edition of Columbia Business Journal.

Candidates should have achieved professional success and be active in community matters. Form must be filled out completely and accurately (Candidate will not be considered with incomplete registration).

*Calhoun, Fairfield, Lee, Lexington, Kershaw, Newberry, Orangeburg, Richland, Saluda and Sumter Counties
